Serving you

on our streets
An important area where Community Pastors operate is the ‘night-time economy’; our pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants.
We patrol in teams of men and women, mostly at the weekend, to care for, listen to and help people who are out on the streets.
We spend a lot of time developing relationships with local business owners and security staff, working with them to make sure our pubs and clubs are places where the public can enjoy a good night out in a safe and friendly atmosphere.

A lot of what we do is practical help.
We’ll provide free mineral water if you’re feeling a little dehydrated. We’re well known for our flip-flops, offering ladies welcome relief from their high heels later in the evening. Not forgetting our famous free lollipops, of course!
We’ll make sure bottles, glasses and cans are recovered from the streets, eliminating potential weapons. Broken glass will be cleared up, removing injury hazards.
But we also offer emotional and spiritual support. We’re always happy for you to share your concerns. Whether that’s a physical health issue, relationship problem or mental health concern, a Community Pastor is always ready to listen, in complete confidentiality.
It doesn’t have to be on the streets. Community Pastors operate out of a warm, safe hub or church where you’ll always be welcome. Why not pop in for a chat and a hot drink?
